Why www.blogger.com blog (blogspot.com) blogs are important in any business, a case study

We all take lot of hard work for making our website starting from the registration of domain name and hosting, paying good amount of money in return, and put lot of efforts to get it listed in search engine for the relevant key words in it , we often achieve that and get good ranking which enable us to develop our online business with and it and our efforts too are then focused around that website. One fine day we come to know that the website we developed after taking so much pain and hard work has dropped down in its ranking from 1st page to 10th page
This is an incidence which happened with one of my friend.
He had his business developed with his website and suddenly his rank dropped down from 3rd position on first page to page 5 . Next day after which his traffic was as good as nil from big amount of visitors every day,
He knew I also provide search engine optimization tips and he asked me for my help, and after observing his website I found following things were responsible for his loss ranking in Google. 1. The website in discussion had also published same content which was press releases about his business , which he use to also submit to other PR sites , it was looked as duplicate content by search engine. 2. His website hosting provider had changed his server and migrated to others one in recent time.
It was very difficult to regain the rank as there was massive change in algorithm too, like Google Panda update which has removed duplicate websites from top ranking. Later when he told me that he was also writing a BlogSpot blog for his business , along with the website, and has all original contents in it.I knew the power in blogger.com blog is great, so I decided to try SEO for the blogspot.com blog .So uploaded some relevant nicely written content over it, gave few good page rank links to that blog, added few keywords for which my business runs on. Then after few days of hard work in content building , we could actually get the lost ranking for the key words and the amount of organic traffic , which my friend use to get for his website was restored by providing advertisement links and banner from this blogger.com blog, and his business is nicely restored back to normal level. I always insisted all of my friends to keep a separate blogger.com blogs ready with the similar content in them but not duplicate. It has great value in my vision, a professional blogger always thrive for a link from SEO.
But we could actually utilize such a blog for ranking to top level which others only dream for. I will like to list why having a blogspot.com blog is so important:

9.Fast loading which is one of a factor for ranking or page rank.
10.You can integrate any feature like comment , facebook friends list twitter and feed burner email subscriptions and many things .
